A series that has reminded me to let go of perfection and embrace all of the moments, mishaps and all that are the core of your life. This is a series embracing the mess. Nothing is perfect. Something we have probably all learned along the way. But why do we chase it?

When we let go of the illusion that is perfection we find out who we really are and connect with others and the world around us in a more authentic, genuine, and beautiful way. A way that is real and raw and deep and full.

It’s always fun to find the perfect outfit, have the Pinterest worthy home, the romance movie marriage and family. But life isn't like that. It isn’t a Disney movie or any movie for that matter. Life is full of choices and mistakes and hard times. This series is about working through the not so perfect moments. It’s about connecting in the trenches of reality and finding the beauty in the things we might wish we could change. It’s about releasing control and choosing joy in sorrow. Leaning on a friend in a time of trouble. Finding that one mom friend who gets it. Or feeling the warm sun on your face after a tough day. It might not always be perfect. But the light is everywhere, you just have to look.
